الأهمية والفضل
Al-Fatihah is the opening chapter of the Quran and the most recited passage in Islamic worship, repeated in every unit of the five daily prayers. Scholars describe it as a concise summary of the entire Quran, encompassing praise of Allah, acknowledgment of His lordship, and the believer's plea for guidance. The Prophet ﷺ called it "the greatest surah in the Quran" (Sahih al-Bukhari).
شرح آية محورية
Ayah 6–7 ("Guide us to the straight path, the path of those You have blessed") encapsulates the central human need: divine direction in life. Classical scholars explain that "the straight path" (al-sirat al-mustaqim) refers to Islam as a complete way of living, and that asking for this guidance daily reinforces the believer's dependence on Allah rather than their own judgment alone.
الأعمال المرتبطة
Al-Fatihah is obligatory in every rakat of prayer — a Muslim recites it between 17 and 34 times daily depending on voluntary prayers. It is also recited at the start of supplications, during ruqyah (healing), and at the beginning of important undertakings as a form of seeking blessing.
